Anemonia
Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
1. Who we are
Anemonia Ltd. (“Anemonia”, “we”) designs and sells hand-finished leather bags. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use anemonia.uk, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the information described here.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order details — name, delivery address, email address and payment confirmation, when you place an order.
- Correspondence — anything you send to [email protected], including verification queries about your bag.
- Newsletter — your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, and browser type.
- Verification records — when you check a hangtag code, we record the code checked, the number of times it has been checked, and the date of the most recent check. This is how we show scan history on the result page.
3. How we use your information
- To process, deliver and support your order, and to keep you informed about its progress.
- To operate the authenticity check and to help you confirm a bag is genuinely ours.
- To send our twice-seasonly letter, if you have asked for it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how the site is used, and to keep it secure and free from abuse.
4. Legal basis
Where required by law, we rely on: performance of a contract (to fulfil your order), our legitimate interests (to run and protect the site, and to operate the authenticity check), your consent (for marketing email), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate: payment processors, delivery carriers, email delivery, and hosting. Each receives only what is needed to perform their service, under contract.
6. Cookies
The site uses essential cookies to remember basic preferences, and analytics cookies to understand traffic in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though some preferences may not be remembered.
7. How long we keep it
Order records are retained for as long as required by UK tax and accounting rules (currently six years). Correspondence and newsletter subscriptions are kept until you ask us to delete them. Verification check counts are kept for the life of the code.
8. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
9. Other sites
Our pages may link to third-party sites (for example, our social profiles). This policy does not cover what those sites do with your data.
10. Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted when you next visit.
